Details

Join us this month and network with your local Pulumi community as we enjoy some drinks and snacks while listening to some great talks.

Working on a project that involves Pulumi or maybe your company is hiring? Let us know during our Community Announcements.

Application code isn’t the only code that can have APIs
In this talk, Paul will demonstrate why programming languages help to build the best infrastructure code. He will demonstrate how simple programming constructs help create APIs that anyone can code against.

Automating your troubles away with Webhooks and Pulumi
Webhooks are a powerful tool which can be used to build event driven applications. However, often you spend more time bulding out the infrastructure to run your application than the actual application logic. In this short talk, we'll take a look at using Pulumi and GitHub Webhooks to build a small bot that enforces some policies on pull requests, in less than 100 lines of code.

SPEAKER BIOS

Paul Stack is an infrastructure coder who travels the world to speak about his passion for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and good operational procedures and why they should be part of what developers and system administrators do on a day to day basis. He believes that reliably delivering software is more important than its development. Paul's passions are the DevOps and Continuous Delivery movements and how they help a business and its customers.

Matt Ellis is a Software Engineer at Pulumi. He's good at building cloud abstractions and gluing different services together and bad at writing a speaker bio.
