Q. How will we do it?

On Thursday, 11 August 2016, we will meet at the venue. The venue will have multiple rooms - one room for each language. You can join any language-group you would like to contribute. You are more than welcome to hop from one room (language) to another room (language).

Q. Do you need to come with laptop?

It's not necessary. We are planning to play video loud so we can hear each sentence and translate in a local language. Also, we might be able to use English subtitle as a base.

Q. Which languages we are planning to contribute to?

Currently:

• Hindi

• Marathi

• Gujarati

Feel free to add any other language.

Q. What if all subtitles are submitted before meetup?

If every language we can contribute already receives full contribution before meetup date, we can work on WordPress core translations project.

Q. Can I contribute from home?

Of course! You can start right away or anytime before Aug 15 (deadline for the project). Please follow instructions at https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/2016/08/07/subtitles-for-the-4-6-release-video/

Q. Why are you arranging for meetup when I can contribute from home?

Sometimes there can be more than one translations for an audio segment. Sitting together, we can discuss and pick best one.
