What we're about

Ever wondered what is the difference between third person omniscient and third person limited? Ever wondered if there is a place where you could find the encouragement, motivation and competition to finish your book? A place where we could boast about the rejection slips we have collected and think up ideas to get that damn book finished and published. This hopefully is the place for all of that and more.

Write Here, Write Now: Thursday Writing Session

pagdandi books chai cafe

Stuck in a rut? Waiting for a muse? Haven’t written in so long that you have forgotten the feeling of completeness it brings? Just want to sit in silence and write? Our Thursday Writing session may help in all of the above. What we do is, in the simplest of terms, that we sit and write. There’ll be prompts if you want a bit of a kickstart. You can write based on that or something that you’ve been working on. Any language, any genre, Fiction /Non-fiction, Prose/Poetry, anything and everything goes. We just want you to write. Working on a book? That’s fantastic. If we are to give the gentle push that slowly culminates into your book, we’d be more than happy to do so. There’ll be a feedback round at the end of each writing session and if you want to, you can read out loud your material and see if and how it works. If you don’t want to, that’s fine too. So join us every Thursday 11.00 am at Pagdandi Books Chai Cafe, to begin your writing journey and grow it from there.

Write Here, Write Now: Sunday Writing Session

Pagdandi Bookstore Cafe

Have writer's block? Tangled in the plot of your story idea? Have perfect story ideas in your head but have trouble getting them on paper? Or have you always wanted to write but couldn't find the time for it? Or do you simply want some company to write? Carve out some time for your writing at our Sunday writer's meet-up. We'll be there to cheer you as you conquer your writing goals. Prompts will be given at the beginning of the session. Already working on something else? No worries. Writing to the prompts is not mandatory. You can work on your own writing projects instead. After 60 minutes of writing, we get back together and read the pieces written, get feedback on how we can improve upon them, and have some fun conversation in the spirit of a holiday. So dust your laptops, sharpen your pencils. Come and join us, and let the words flow.
