Golang Meetup by Pure Storage

Autumn is the traditional time for new beginnings - at least in terms of studies, so we decided to go ahead and let our next Golang Meetup to be focused on the topics, which would be interesting for Go beginners.
Perhaps you are new to programming in general, or maybe you aim to expand your existing skillset by learning Go. In any case, the topics discussed in this meetup strive to ease your entry into the language, enrich your everyday development experience and explain some of the surprising peculiarities in the design of this fascinating language.

Talk 1: Shed some light on the Go dark corners
Level: New Go developers

Description: Go is a simple and fun language. But while simplicity is at the core of Go philosophy you can run into a lot of unusual features and gotchas. Some of them are natural traps if you are coming from another language. When I started to learn go several years ago, I set a goal to collect in one place various things in Go that might be surprising to new developers. In this talk I will share some of my notes and we will discover what happens in Go runtime and compilation process.

Talk 2: Code inspection in Golang
Level: New Go developers
Speaker: Radovan Bartánus, Pure Storage(Portworx)
Description: Whether you're starting with Go as your first programming language, or learning it while already having background in another, you may want to learn about tools that will help you align your Golang code with recommended practices. During this presentation I'll focus on showcasing some of the available code inspection tools with varying areas of focus and attempt to elucidate some of the peculiarities specific to Go.
