What we're about
PyBelfast is a group for anyone interested in learning more about the Python programming language. We aim to hold a meetup every other month on a variety of topics, with a focus on Python related technologies.
It is suitable for all levels and new people are always welcome.
Upcoming events (1)
PyBelfast has joined forces with Farset Labs to put together a spooktacular maker night in the run-up to Halloween.
What's involved?
This is an opportunity to try out hacking on hardware, crafting a creation, and coding something horrific using some of the awesome hardware and tools available in Farset labs. If any one of these sounds interesting, feel free to come along to the event as you can choose what you would like to participate in during the event. You're also encouraged to bring along any ideas of your own that you would like to work on.
This event is aimed at everyone, so feel free to bring along family and friends to try out any of the above. We will have a small guided workshop for those interested in building some blinking LEDs using Python that we will incorporate into a craft to make blinking eyes.
Where
This event will take place in Farset Labs.
Ample parking is available within the weaver's court during the event and it is also a short walk from the Great Victoria train station.
When
The event will take place on the 26th of October from 6 PM to 9 PM. Everyone is welcome and you are free to join/leave at any time during the event.
What do I need?
Bring along a laptop if you want to use hardware and code. Hardware will be available on the night to borrow during the event.
If you want to craft something, we will have some materials on the night but feel free to bring anything of our own if you have a special project in mind.
You can still have fun at the event by bringing just yourself along, learning about the space, making some crafts, and socialising with the group.
