From Zero to Hero: How to learn data science & get a job
The internet is overflowing with listicles of what it takes to do data science, and countless bootcamps and courses promise shortcuts to getting the sexiest job of the century. While there are certainly no shortcuts to learning the hard skills needed to be a data scientist, it is also not as daunting as internet definitions of expert-mathematician-statistician-computer-scientist-with-ten-years-of-business-experience make it sound. This presentation lays out a basic structure for the independent (or guided) study of data science tools and techniques, and how to put them to work as you go along in order to reach your goals.
