PyData Bratislava Meetup #15 [Parallel Computing in Python using Dask]

Talk Title: "How to speed up Data Science tasks in Python using Dask" Description: In this session I'm going to talk about Dask. If you are working with Pandas or Numpy, sooner or later you start to struggle with insufficient memory or performance issues. This is where Dask comes into play. It can help you to your application through multiprocessing, clustering and handle large datasets. In this session we will walk through a real-world application, where I used Dask to speed up a Monte Carlo simulation. Speaker/Bio: Gábor Patassy - Senior Python Developer Worked as an R&D engineer for fiber optic sensors for 8 years. Today he is a full time Python developer at ERNI.
