PyData Cluj: Meetup #15

Details
We are pleased to announce the 15th edition of the PyData Cluj-Napoca meetup. Due to the current situation, the PyData Cluj-Napoca meetups will be held online. The details will be provided later.
We have 2 presentations scheduled:
"Updates from Planet Jupyter" By Georgiana Dolocan
Jupyter Notebooks are a great tool to share documents containing live code that can be run to perform different computations and data analysis, but also visualizations and narrative that allow you to provide descriptions and context to the computations and their results. This makes the Notebooks great for a variety of use cases, from science and research, to education and training.
But there’s more to Project Jupyter than the Notebooks themselves. Over time, a lot of exciting new projects started taking off in the Jupyter ecosystem, projects that extend the Notebooks and provide new use-cases for them.
The talk will describe some of these projects, their role and features, but also how they fit in the bigger picture. We will talk about JupyterHub and its different distributions, the new Jupyter Notebook interface - JupyterLab, the Binder project and how to share your computing environment with everyone, but also about Jupyter Book and how you can use it to share Notebooks and other computational content as an interactive book. No prior knowledge is needed, but curiosity on how all the pieces fit together, is a must.
"Creating Named Entity Recognition Systems Using Python" By Andrei Pruteanu
The presentation is a hand-on demonstration on how to create custom Named Entity Recognition Systems using Python language. It includes showcasing how to find input data, pre-process, train and tune NER models.
PyData is all about the exchange of knowledge and ideas so apart from these 2 presentations, there will be time to talk and interact with attendees and speakers.
