Details
Onwards and upwards! We are pleased to announce are second in our meetup series, hosted once again by our gracious hosts at Pivotal (http://www.gopivotal.com).
Two excellent speakers with all sorts of polyglot knowledge with a general theme of data visualisation. Without further ado, our speakers:
• Kyran Dale (http://kyrandale.com/) - “Getting your Python data onto a Browser” A short, practical guide to making the leap from OS based visualizations to something you can share with the world at the click of a button.
• Laurie Clark-Michalek (http://www.generictestdomain.net/pydata_july.slides.html) - “DOTA Analysis: Using Python to provide insight into professional DOTA2 matches” A tour of some of the lessons learned during the development of high level tools for DOTA2 match analysis.
Lightning talks:
• Sam Colvin - "Julia by Example"
• Ian Taylor (http://www.flyingbinary.com/) - "Where am I? Geospatial processing with Python"
Doors open from 6.30pm for a 7pm start (please don't arrive before 6.30pm, Pivotal will still be using their office!).
Once again you must unRSVP if you can't attend - if you RSVP a place but don't show then you'll go on the blocked list (we've got a limited capacity and we'll have too many people wanting to attend).
The Location is Bentima House next to the Masque Haunt pub, here's a Street View: http://goo.gl/maps/hQNWW
