En previsión de que lo peor de la pandemia de COVID-19 ha quedado ya atrás, y que con medidas adecuadas de higiene y prevención podemos volver a juntarnos en persona de manera segura, queremos este año retomar los encuentros presenciales y hablar de Python, Datos, Visualización, Inteligencia Artificial, ¡y lo que surja!

Para ir calentando motores, nos vamos a juntar en la terraza interior del Irish Rover para tener una charla informal, vernos las caras, hablar de qué temas nos gustaría tratar, en qué empresas o espacios podríamos reunirnos, y contar batallitas en general.

Recomendaciones generales:

• ¿Sabes mucho de Python y Datos? ¿Sabes poco y quieres saber más? ¡En ambos casos, te damos la bienvenida!
• Iremos con mascarillas y la pauta de vacunación completa, para garantizar la seguridad de todo el mundo.
• Si tienes síntomas aunque sean leves o has sido contacto estrecho de un caso confirmado, no esperes a lo que diga el test de antígenos: mejor quédate en casa. ¡Ya nos veremos en otra ocasión!
• Si no sabes cómo saludar en estos tiempos pandémicos, saluda con la mano de lejos o pon el puño o el codo. No hace falta estrechar la mano, darse abrazos ni besos si no quieres.
• Aplica "la regla del comecocos": si estás en un círculo, deja siempre un hueco para que otra persona se pueda unir.
• Si llevas unos minutos sin comer ni beber, recuerda ponerte la mascarilla de nuevo cubriendo nariz y boca.
• Respeta las decisiones de los demás sobre si beber alcohol o no. ¡No todo el mundo quiere beber cerveza!
• Si eres una persona tímida o introvertida y no quieres decir nada, no tienes por qué. Si solo quieres escuchar y ver, ¡está perfecto!
• Por contra, si te gustaría hablar con alguien pero no sabes con quién, busca al equipo organizador y simplemente di: «¡Hola!»
• Puede haber asistentes que no hablen bien español y que se manejen mejor en inglés. Sé paciente y ¡no dejes que se aburran!

Did you miss PyData Madrid? PyData Madrid missed you too!

Hoping that the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic is left behind and that with proper hygiene and prevention measures we can gather in person safely, we will resume the meetups this year to talk about Python, Data, Visualization, Artificial Intelligence, and more!

To warm-up, we will meet at the interior terrace of The Irish Rover to have an informal chat, see each other's faces, talk about what topics we would like to cover, in what companies or venues we could meet, and tell old stories in general.

General recommendations:

• Are you an expert in Python and Data? Are you a beginner and you want to learn more? In both cases, you are very welcome!
• We will have our masks and be completely vaccinated to guarantee everyone's safety.
• If you have symptoms even if they are mild or have been in close contact with a confirmed case, don't wait for the antigen test: just stay at home. We will meet at some other time!
• If you don't know how to greet folks in these pandemic times, you can wave your hand from afar or present your fist or elbow. There is no need to shake hands, hug, or kiss if you don't want to.
• Apply the "Pacman rule": if you're in a circle, leave a gap so that someone else can join.
• If it's been a while since you last ate or drank, remember to put back your face mask covering your nose and mouth.
• Respect everyone's choices with respect to alcohol. Not everybody likes or wants to drink beer!
• If you're shy or introverted and you don't want to say anything, you don't have to. If you only want to see and hear, that's perfectly fine!
• On the other hand, if you would like to talk to someone but you don't know to whom, seek the organizers and simply say: «Hi!»
• If you don't speak good Spanish, we will do our best to make you feel comfortable. But be mindful that other attendees might want to use their native language in larger conversations. Use this opportunity to practice your Spanish! If you are bored, feel free approach the organizers and say «Hi!»
