PyData Pune: Webinar VIII - Multimodal Machine Learning: The Future of AI

Imagine living in a world where you could "see voices and hear images". Undoubtedly, this is the future of AI.

Computer vision and NLP applications in isolation are now bygones. The real prowess lies in combining and modeling the 3 V's of data modalities: visual, verbal (textual), and vocal, amongst several others. The explosion of data resulting from ubiquitous data-logging systems, along with the availability of computing power and GPUs has rendered Multimodal Machine Learning (MMML) as a vibrant field with extraordinary potential.

In this session, Speaker will talk about some of the existing intelligent multimedia applications, ranging from the basics to the most advanced, like self-driving cars and humanoids.

To have a greater connect with the intended audience, She will also share one of her personal projects on multimodal machine learning that she developed as a fresher into this field.

About Lavanya:

Lavanya is a professional data scientist who has spent 2+ years in prototyping machine learning models and building data science solutions for various industries. She is skilled at web scraping, machine learning, and deep learning. She is also actively involved in the ed-tech space as a data science instructor, mentor, and career coach at DataCamp and Board Infinity.

Later this year, she is joining Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) to pursue her higher studies in AI.
