Details:
Data scientist love building Shiny apps. It lets you create an interactive dashboard without the complexity of handling javascript or HTML. It also integrates well with other tools for data science as well. If you code in Python and you love Jupyter notebook, we'll teach you how to make a “Shiny app” in Jupyter notebook with Python using Bokeh.
This tutorial consists of demos and practical session which you can work on your own. There are 3 lessons in this tutorial:
- Learning the basics of Bokeh
- Learning how to create interactivity in Bokeh
- How to construct an app
Prerequisites:
- Basic knowledge of Python
- Basic knowledge of Pandas
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript
Goals:
- Learn how to use Bokeh to make plots
- Learn how to use Bokeh to create interactive apps in Jupyter notebook
- Have fun
In the end, you are encouraged to finish a mini-project by yourself or in groups.
This tutorial is for anyone who is interested in making an interactive dashboard in Jupyter notebook. You are expected to be able to code in basic Python and basic Javascript in Jupyter notebook environment.
