Abstract: With a brief introduction into traditional methods in Object detection, we give a brief overview of how Convolutional Neural Networks do object detection and discuss their strengths and weaknesses. Then, We introduce Capsule Networks and talk about what they are and What they have to offer as opposed to CNNs.
