Abstracts:
[1] Covid-19 has created a tremendous impact in our world not just offline but also online. A particularly dangerous phenomenon is that of misinformation of which there are various types such as conspiracy theories, rumours, propaganda etc.. We performed an analysis of tweets posted on Twitter regarding the famous conspiracy around 5g and its link to COVID-19 using a famous technique from within natural language processing. This technique known as Word Embeddings is part of Python Gensim library and this talk will present a walk-through demonstration of that.
[2] Most 'Data people' tend to find a usable piece of data and work with it to produce a picture. This approach cannot be correctly applied to the world of finance. I would like to give people the inside track into what banks/trading desks do and why the data problem is so complex. Unfortunately, there are a few factors that make actual trading impossible to succeed at. 385% return is what you one is roughly looking for not 4% :-)
STAY TUNED!
