This month we are excited to be joined by Miguel Vargas
Speaker: Miguel Vargas
Topic: Lint Fast, Type Hard: Elevate your code quality in Python with modern, ultra-fast tooling
Writing clean, reliable Python code can feel overwhelming, especially when teams worry that quality tools will slow them down. This talk explains core concepts such as SAST, SCAT, and SCA. In addition, it introduces ultra-fast tools like Ruff and Ty that make formatting, linting, and type checking simple and almost instantaneous. You will learn an easy, step-by-step way to adopt these tools so you can keep your code readable, reduce surprises, and build better Python projects with confidence..2 attendees from this group
How AI hype is reshaping developer and maker communities.
Turnstile Bar and Restaurant, 10025 Burnet Rd, Austin, TX, USAI HYPE! – January 2026 Meetup
Let’s hang out and talk about what AI actually looks like in our day-to-day work right now. This month we’ll swap stories about how AI is reshaping our developer and maker communities.
We’ll discuss about workflows, automation and productivity.
- How are you bringing AI into your projects these days (or choosing not to)?
- Are you experimenting with AI in your work, or keeping it on the sidelines for now?
- What’s your current relationship with AI in your projects: daily driver, occasional helper, or “no thanks”?
Got a half‑finished bot, a weird agent, or just a “this broke everything” story? Bring it. We’ll keep things loose, laugh about what worked (and didn’t), and learn from what everyone’s been trying and no expertise required.
We’ll be at Turnstile (https://maps.app.goo.gl/epN9mQd1RSd2p6Ld8), most likely inside the restaurant since it’s freezing in ATX, and there’ll be a sign on the table so you can find us. I hope to see you there!1 attendee
