Topic:
Please join Katrina Riehl as she discusses the skills and requirements necessary for a successful career as a data scientist. She will also discuss data wrangling, modeling, and data communication using tools in the PyData ecosystem.

Speaker Bio:
Katrina Riehl is the Head of Data Science at Cloudflare. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for NumFOCUS, a non-profit which supports open-source projects in the PyData ecosystem. Over the last fifteen years, Katrina has worked extensively in the fields of scientific computing, machine learning, data mining, and visualization. Most notably, she worked at the University of Texas at Austin, Apple, and Continuum Analytics (Anaconda).

Audience:
This meetup is open to women and their friends. This reoccurring event is welcoming and respectful of all women. Men who want to learn Python are welcome as guests of women who are attending. Basic python experience is assumed for this talk. If you're a beginner, you are always invited to learn!
