Workshop Level: Beginner

What you'll learn:
This workshop will give an overview of common NLP techniques such as Part of speech tagging and Named entity recognition. You will get some hands-on experience with common NLP tasks in Python, taking them from the first preprocessing steps to the visual inspection of trained models using popular NLP libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, and gensim.

Speaker:
Saskia Lensink
After finishing her Ph.D. in computational and experimental linguistics at Leiden University, Saskia spent some time in the industry to work as a data scientist. Currently, she works as a research scientist at the data science department of TNO, where she focuses on deploying and further developing Natural Language Processing techniques in a wide array of projects.
