TALK DETAILS
Title: How encourage teenage girl to programming
(15m) Lately, I am teaching Python programming to a thirteen-year-old girl. She didn't know pretty much about mathematics, even matrix. However, she chose game programming for her career and her first game is finished. I want to talk about my experience and challenges to teach a teenager. Also, Shahgol (the teenager) will talk about the challenge she had faced.
About Samira
I am Samira, I have been working as a python developer since 2011. Last year, I have decided to get back to academia, right now I am a computer science Ph.D. student at Galway university. skorani.github.io
Title: Crack The Code - My First Python Project
(15m) After 2 weeks of learning Python, I began creating my very first Python Project with Code Institute as part of the Diploma in Software Development. This is a command-line interface game based on the classic Mastermind board game. I would love to talk to you about this project and the journey I undertook with Python to complete it.
About Ciara
I decided to learn how to code in September 2021 as it has been something I have wanted to try for a very long time. I fell in love straight away! My background is in Psychology, Teaching, and Art. I have spent almost 20 years as a carer supporting people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. I currently work with adults who have sustained an acquired brain injury and am mainly involved in facilitating their art groups. I have 2 amazing kids, a gentle old soul of a cat, a bossy Jack Russel, and a very supportive partner. linkedin.com/in/ciara-o-sullivan-2834378b
