Santa Cruz PyLadies Speaker Night: Wi-Fi Stepper project with Andrew Klofas
Details
Every four weeks, PyLadies will have a speaker from the community teach us something interesting and/or talk about the awesome stuff they're working on!
The meetup will start at 6, with some snacks and beverages, and the talk(s) will start around 6:30.
This week, our speaker is Andrew Klofas, telling us all about the Wi-Fi Stepper project from Good Robotics (https://www.crowdsupply.com/good-robotics/wi-fi-stepper) that allows you to easily add stepper motors to your IoT projects and easily control them with software! In particular, Andrew will show us the ins and outs of the Python API that this project makes available to developers.
(A stepper motor is a motor with precise rotational motor that moves in steps, like what you'd need to position a robot arm vs. turn a wheel on a car... https://learn.adafruit.com/all-about-stepper-motors/what-is-a-stepper-motor)
