PyLadies South Bay: August Meetup

Come hang out, hack and chat! Dinner will be provided. Beginners and experts welcome. :)

We're a low-key, friendly meetup, where you can bring your laptop and a project to work on and find people to work with.

Who's invited?

This event is open to PyLadies and their allies of any gender. Kids of any age and gender are welcome (no seriously, we have plenty of space and ice cream!). We're queer and trans friendly.

6:30-7:00:  Dinner

7:00-7:45: Announcements & member discussion

PyLadies events:

* Holding a PyLadies Speaker Series?

* Teaming up for a Hackathon?

* PyCon talks coming up, getting study groups together?

* Any other ideas?

* Member introductions & announcements

7:45-9:00: Hang out, chat, hack on your projects, talk to new people, eat more pizza

How do I find you?

We'll be lounging in the main cafe. Here's a map on where to go:

Just come in the front doors and we'll be there!

I ride public transit, can I come?

Totally! For those of you coming from Caltrain, there's a free public shuttle that goes right to LinkedIn:

LI also has an official shuttle which technically is employees only, but unofficially it should be fine, too.

Hope to see you there!

A big thank you to LinkedIn for sponsoring us and giving us space and food. :)

    I recently published a guide for Using PyCharm with Pyramid.

    Its audience is novice Python web developers. I'll be in attendance to help folks get started with Pyramid, Python, PyCharm, virtualenv, git, or whatever.

    Thank you Rachel, PyLadies, and LinkedIn for making this event happen!

    Comment from my when asking about Octav: i'm new to python but numpy and scipy are the two numerical libraries, and then there's sage math, which is an integrated collection of many libraries... including symbolic and a bunch of stuff i don't even know how to pronounce. =)
