Python for Quick, Useful Multimedia Manipulation

Details

One of Python's killer features is that a programmer can create snippets of code and join them into larger collections of modules that you can use to solve many problems.

This month, Tanim Islam will show us how he uses python to create tools that manipulate image, video, and audio files including:
• automatically cropping out white space in images.
• native and service-based conversion of PDF to PNG and JPEG images.
• creating movies from a sequence of generated images.
• conversion of movie clips, into animated GIFs

Join us on YouTube at 6:30pm EDT to learn more and contribute to the conversation!

Before and after the lecture, join us on Discord for the behind-the-scenes conversation. The link to the Discord server will be emailed to those who RSVP a day before the event.

The conversation will start on Discord at 5:30pm and continue as long as people want to talk!
