** Griode, a music instrument written in Python
Crafting a music instrument used to be a delicate art requiring thousands of hours of meticulous work. Not anymore! We will present Griode (https://github.com/jpetazzo/griode), an open source project written in Python that uses the Novation LaunchPad (a popular MIDI controller) and some open source components, libraries, and sound samples, to create a custom instrument that everyone can play, even if they don't know neither music, nor Python.
*** About the speaker
Jérôme was part of the team that built, scaled, and operated the dotCloud PAAS, before it became Docker. He worked seven years at the famous container company, wearing various hats. When he's not glued to a computer screen, he collects musical instruments. He can passably murder the theme of Zelda on a dozen of them.
** Topic 2
Topic(s) not fixed yet. Please feel free to make suggestions to the organizers!
** Lightning Talks
A lightning talk is a presentation shorter than 10 minutes.
Keep it brief and concise with a lot of slides and code.
