Our August meeting topic is Accountability. The speaker will be Isabelle Giuong. Isabelle is going to talk about her experience in online accountability groups, specifically what made her fitness accountability groups successful. Isabelle is a UX designer with background in software engineering. She's building an app that will take care of a lot of the admin stuff that they had to do as organizers of accountability groups.
In the near future we should have a meeting about genetic testing. After stumbling upon Dr. Rhonda Patrick's podcast "Found My Fitness", I got convinced that doing genetic testing is a cheap way to mitigate some of the risks lurking a decade or two ahead. The service costs around a 100$ to get your dna test data (without analysis). Afterwards, you can share the data with 3rd party analysis tools such as:
And learn what science has discovered so far about your genetic makeup. The information can include actionable information about macro/micro nutrition absorption and utilization. I sent my sample a few days ago and looking forward to get the results and dive deep into their meaning. I'll share my results in one of the upcoming meetups. If anyone wants to join me and possibly share some of the findings with the group, you can use our meetup referral link:
We get 10$ back per 100$ kit and will use all proceeds for refreshments for the meetup.
Feel free to send me a DM on meetup if you have questions.
See you soon!
