We are wicked pumped to announce the December meetup of the Queen City Sitecore User Group! Join us for food, great company and lots of cheer as we watch three epic Sitecore presentations by three notable leaders in the Sitecore Community! How do I get in? This meetup is being held in the Norton conference room which is accessible via the first door on your right as you walk in the front door of the first floor. Agenda: 6:00 pm - 6:05 pm Food/networking/introduction 6:05 pm - 6:45 pm Driving an immersive customer experience with Sitecore Experience Commerce + IoT by Jason Wilkerson - Sitecore MVP / Sitecore Architect at Wilkerson Consulting Inc How can you leverage Sitecore to drive a better customer experience? In this session, we'll demonstrate how you can combine IoT, xConnect, xDB, Marketing Automation, EXM, and SXA, all tied together with Sitecore Experience Commerce, to deliver a more personalized, meaningful experience for customers at a fictional theme park called SitecoreLand! Using IoT devices to track entry and exit to and from the park as well as engagement with rides and concessions, we can provide incentives and special offers to park guests to optimize line wait times and concession traffic. With marketing automation and EXM we can upsell "Fast Passes" to skip long lines or cross sell ride or park merchandise. All of this can be done with a relatively small amount of effort! 6:45 pm - 6:50 pm Break 6:50 pm - 7:30 pm Using SiteCron by Akshay Sura - Sitecore MVP @Konabos Consulting SiteCron module provides an advanced way to run Cron based scheduling jobs using Sitecore and Quartz Scheduler. It uses the CronTrigger functionality to help you schedule simple to complex jobs. We will walk through installaling and running jobs with SiteCron. 7:30 pm - 7:35 pm Break 7:35 pm - 8:15 pm Modern loyalty programs - Experience Commerce & Email Experience Manager (from a developer perspective) by Kamruz Jaman and Akshay Sura - Sitecore MVP @Konabos Consulting Using Sitecore Experience Commerce (XC) and Sitecore Experience Manager (EXM), we've created a modern loyalty program for our restaurant brands that has helped to reduce churn, increase retention rates, and drive category sales online through marketing campaigns and marketing automation. In this session, we will show you how we implemented the solution and how our clients and their customers have reaped the benefits of loyalty programs. About our speakers: Jason Wilkerson With almost 20 years in the field, Jason (Sitecore MVP[masked]) has become an experienced Enterprise Architect who specializes in delivering Sitecore implementations built upon common architectural principles and design patterns. Akshay Sura Akshay is a five-time Sitecore MVP who has spent more than a decade working exclusively on Sitecore projects. In addition to his work as a solution architect, Akshay is also one of the founders of SUGCON NA 2015 and the Sitecore Slack Group, which has more than 2900 members from around the world. Kamruz Jaman Kamruz is an independent Sitecore specialist and five-time Technology MVP. Kamruz has over 15 years of development and architecture experience using the Microsoft technology stack, having spent the majority of his career in industries such as finance, technology, e-commerce, pharmaceutical, distribution, insurance and travel. Having worked exclusively with Sitecore for the past 9 years, Kamruz is heavily involved in the Sitecore Community and has spoken at various User Groups and Conferences. He also actively shares his knowledge with the community through his blog, Slack, StackOverflow/StackExchange and the Sitecore Forums.

    What we're about

    The Queen City Sitecore User Group meets monthly in Manchester, NH for networking, learning - and did we mention free food? The user group is open to anyone using or considering the Sitecore Experience Platform, or who has an interest in .NET CMS platforms, regardless of technical proficiency. Programmers, marketers, content authors, CMS users and others are all welcome. We will be discussing all aspects of the platform from logistics to programming, and will have guest speakers on occasion.
