This meetup is being held in the Norton conference room which is accessible via the first door on your right as you walk in the front door of the first floor.

6:15 pm - 7:00 pm Learn what new and powerful features are coming soon in SPE 5.0 - Michael West, Sitecore MVP and Application Architect at Concentra
The popular open-source module we all know and love learned some new tricks. In this presentation we get a preview of the features releasing with 5.0. The module received a facelift, some new reporting tools, and all around improvements.

7:15 pm - 8:00 pm "Solr, Sitecore 9, Shenanigans" - Grant Killian, Sitecore MVP and Solutions Architect at Rackspace
Solr has become a critical component to many Sitecore projects; come find out the lessons I've learned through years of Sitecore + Solr implementations, including particulars to the Sitecore 9 landscape. As for the "Shenanigans" -- we'll take an in-depth look at a few real Solr scenarios with Sitecore that were particularly "fun."
About our speakers:
Michael West:
Michael is a 4 time Sitecore Technology MVP (2015-2018) and received the award in recognition of his active contribution to the Sitecore community including Sitecore Slack Chat and Sitecore Stack Exchange. He is a key contributor to the popular open source module Sitecore PowerShell Extensions (SPE), and advocate for the popular Sitecore Experience Accelerator (SXA).
Grant Killian:
Grant Killian is a Sitecore MVP and Sitecore Architect at Rackspace, where he leads the technical team supporting Sitecore enterprise implementations. Grant and his team consult customers on architecture, scaling, performance tuning, data integration, development best practices, and all-around success with Sitecore as a platform.
