More Information:

Koorosh Lohrasbi is an AWS Solutions Architect based out of Sydney and works with some of the most advanced deep learning AWS customers and partners as well a some of the very early adaptors of the cloud in the ANZ market. Koorosh has a passion and commitment to ML and Deep Learning and is co-organiser of both the Machine Learning and Deep Learning meetups in Sydney. He also has co-organised ML/DL study groups and has had great success in forming a study group of 50 ML enthusiasts (predominantly developers) enabling them to adopt ML/DL as the next career move.

Data is the most important factor in ML/DL and Koorosh will share some tips on how to develop a successful data strategy on the Amazon Web Services platform, as well as an overview of the Amazon Web Services developer-focused AI solutions, and also share pro tips on how to make the best use of the cloud to power distributed training solutions while maintaining control of spend. He will also cover some details and the latest news about Deep Learning frameworks on AWS, including MXNet and TensorFlow.

Koorosh will also give us an update on the ICML and IJCAI conferences held in August in Sydney and Melbourne and will share with us his experiences on how to go about creating study groups, encouraging new developers in our community to learn ML/DL.”

C3 IoT (https://c3iot.com/) (formerly C3 Energy) developed and delivered enterprise IoT software solutions for one of the largest IoT domains: the energy sector.
Sean Mathieson, C3 IoT - Head of Services APJ, will present on “Realising Value from Big Data, Predicitive Analytics and IoT with 1/10th the Effort and Cost” including enterprise-scale use cases with C3 IoT and AWS.
