R as a tool for complex systems modelling

This month we are excited to have Caitlin Adams presenting our seminar, "R as a tool for complex systems modelling"!

R is an incredibly powerful language and tool. In this talk, Caitlin will cover the various ways they use R at Mezo, particularly in reference to the work they do with Victoria Police on modelling demand for policing services across the state. She will discuss how they're able to use R and RStudio to go from data to model to outputs, and cover the ways in which R supports their model development process.

Caitlin is a Mathematical Modeller at Mezo Research. She is currently completing a PhD in Astrophysics at Swinburne University of Technology, and holds a BSc (Hons) in Physics. She is passionate about mathematical modelling, data analysis and problem solving.
