This workshop is designed to improve your knowledge and skill in using photography as a medium to communicate ideas and share stories, using the streets of New York as our subject and canvas.
During the four-day intensive workshop you will learn about the power of storytelling, hone your photographic skills, be given the tools to leverage this visual form of communication and develop your personal style and approach that you’ll be able to use anytime, anywhere.
Ed Kashi: Guest Mentor
Guest mentor Ed Kashi is a critically acclaimed photojournalist who uses photography, filmmaking and social media to explore geopolitical and social issues. A dedicated educator and mentor to photographers around the world, Kashi lectures frequently on visual storytelling, human rights and the world of media.
A member of VII Photo Agency since 2010, his work has been published and exhibited worldwide, receiving numerous awards and honors, and he has published nine books of his photography.
Jorge Delgado-Ureña: Resident Mentor & Co-founder
Renown Spanish photographer, resident teacher and co-founder of Raw Photo Tours, Jorge has over 15 years of experience in photography and an innate ability for teaching. He’s been published in several local and international magazines, including National Geographic, Ijsberg Magazine, La Vanguardia, Publico, Fisheye Magazine to name a few.
His photographs have also been exhibited in El Colegio de Periodistas and Lomography Embassy in Barcelona, Lensculture Berlin 2017, The Independant Photographer Berlin 2018 and is currently working on the publication of two books of his works in Cuba and Morocco.
