MCC Funnel: Assault on the Sky-High Tower

Details

The vernal equinox each year marks the sacred time of "The Rite of Passage," the annual tradition in which a new group of younglings are sent out into the wilderness to prove their worth to the tribe, and hopefully, to return and be accepted as adults within their neolithic jungle community.

This adventure is designed for 15-20 0-level characters [...] All players should have multiple characters, so as to continue enjoying the game as character attrition takes place.

About Mutant Crawl Classics:

You’re no zero.

You’re a wasteland wanderer: a mutant, a seeker, a robot-killer, a stoic shaman guarding forgotten ancient sciences. You seek triumph and technology, winning it with mutations and magic, soaked in the radiation and quantum fields of the mutated, the savage, the semi-sentient, and the artificially intelligent. There are treasures to be won in the taboo lands and ruins, and you shall have them.

Return to the glory days of science fiction gaming with the Mutant Crawl Classics Role Playing Game. Adventure like it’s 1978 again, with modern rules grounded in the origins of post-apocalyptic role playing. Fast play, a mysterious future, and 100% compatibility with the DCC RPG system await you — just activate your artifact…

-----

This will be a Level 0 game, with "classless" characters. There will be pre-generated characters available, but I will also bring character sheets for creating your own. I will have the rulebook and funky dice on hand as well. If you are already familiar with DCC, Mutant Crawl Classic uses the same basic mechanics.

NOTE: Funnels are notoriously deadly, so players will have up to four zero levels to play

Regarding classes, there are four "Pure Strain Human" classes, which roughly translate to warrior (sentinel), cleric (healer), wizard (shaman), and thief (rover). There are also three "Mutant" categories: mutant (human with mutant abilities), manimal (awoken mutant animal - think Ninja Turtle, potentially with additional mutant powers), and plantient (sentient mutant plant - maybe Swamp Thing?, also potentially with additional mutant powers).

Goodman Games provides a Preview of the rules, [link following]. I do not know how closely they conform to the published version. http://www.goodman-games.com/downloads/MCC-Preview-GC15PG.pdf
