What we're about
Recovering from Religion is a support group encouraging and supporting your journey as you consider the possibility of a life free from faith. Don't let people convince you that you just didn't have 'enough' faith, or that you just haven't found the "right" religion. The goal of Recovering from Religion is to help you work through those claims and assure you that YOU are not crazy for no longer believing.
As part of the bigger picture Recovering from Religion the Columbus Chapter is part of the National level Recovering from Religion, which is providing this great service in cities across the US [ www.RecoveringfromReligion.org (http://www.recoveringfromreligion.org) ] The facilitator of this local Columbus group, is also a former minister himself and is part of The Clergy Project [ http://clergyproject.org ] which is a confidential online community for active and former clergy who no longer hold to supernatural beliefs.
We hope you join our group here on Meetup!
For liability purposes, you must be 18 or older to attend, unless accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Also, please remember this is a support group, not a psychotherapy or counseling session. If you feel the need for professional therapy (which is completely understandable!) please talk to us and we will help you get connected with a secular counselor in the area. For more about the national organization, please visit http://www.recoveringfromreligion.org
*Recovery From Religion - Columbus Chapter is also a member of the Columbus Coalition of Reason ( http://www.ColumbusCoR.org ).
