Hi All,

Regrettably I will be out of town on this day and will miss the fest, but this is a great idea from Raj and he's volunteered to host it for the group in conjunction with the Live Jazz of Oakland group. Please come join Raj and other jazz lovers at a free music event in San Francisco - you know, that city across the Oakland Bridge. :)

This is a free concert on Sunday July 18th that is part of the Stern Grove Festival. The two acts look interesting and high-energy, and did I mention, it is FREE... Location is in SF (19th Ave & Sloat) -- according to the map looks like there is a Muni Train stop just a few blocks away.

Electro-global sounds at Stern Grove Festival

An amalgamation of Parisian subculture, jazz, and swing, Caravan Palace?s eccentric sound brings the past and present together with an electric thread that draws audiences to the dance floor.

Guitarist and songwriter Jairo Zavala?s explosive solo project, DePedro, is the culmination of years performing with Latin rock bands Amparanoia, Los Coronas, and Calexico.
