Forest Hill Park and Lake Cleanup

The 4th and 5th council offices and Friends of Forest Hill Park are asking for help to clean up Forest Hill Lake and Park. We need two (2) canoes or jon boats and a total of four (4) volunteers to go into the boats to work on the trash island. All other volunteers will conduct a sweep of the park.
The reality is that the lake needs to be dredge and people need to stop littering. The trash island will return over time. Littering is a societal issue. Please talk with you friends, family, neighbors, AND strangers about why littering is wrong. Please dress according to the weather (layers are recommended), bring gloves, and a water bottle.

We will meet in the parking lot at 42nd & New Kent Ave near the first set of shelters.
