Swansboro West Tree Planting

The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay is partnered with the Swansboro West - Hull Street/Midlothian Civic Association and the 5th District City Council office to plant 30 trees on the 100 block of E. Roanoke Street. This block was highlighted in a heat index study a few years ago due to the lack of tree canopy. We need volunteers in three shifts:

Shift I - Staging
8am-10am
Placing supplies & Trees in the correct locations

Shift II - Planting
10am-1pm
We will have a corporate group volunteer to help plant

Shift II - Cleanup
12pm-1:30pm

Please let me know which shift you can come for in the comments. I REALLY need help first thing in the morning with Shift I.

All supplies will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle and dress in layers for the weather.
