RVA Code & Coffee is brought to you by the organizers of the popular and successful RVA.js Meetup.
RVA Code and Coffee is an inclusive, informal co-working session. People of all skill levels attend, and we love it that way. Many people (optionally) bring projects to work on, and many other people (optionally) socialize the entire time. It's up to you! Some ideas for personal projects: build an app, write a blog, or go through programming exercises.
Bring a laptop computer and be a part of our community
Here is the format of our event:
10:00 AM - Arrive, grab a cup of coffee and see old friends or meet some new people
10:15 AM - Our Introduction circle begins. We do this via three separate rounds.
1st Round - Each person says their name, what they're working on, what they can help others with, and what they would like help with. Each
2nd Round - Opportunity to share any job opportunities to the group (and can post within the #rvacodecoffee Slack channel). You can also announce that you are looking for a new opportunity including the role and tech stack you would like.
3rd Round - Opportunity to share any events that you are aware of that might be of interest to others.
10:45 AM - 1:30 PM - The remainder of the event is self-organized. It is completely up to you. You can sit down and code, you can go and ask for help from someone else, or you an seek out someone else that you may be able to help. It's all about collaboration and networking.
