What we're about

A group of running friends that also like to hang out for social activities and outdoor exploration decided to organize this group to bring more people along for the fun. If you are a beginning runner or a seasoned runner, we have people of all levels that will be there with you. Many of us run 5k's, 10k's, half marathons or marathons and are training throughout the year, and many of us just love to go for an easy casual run at a pace you can talk to your friends. And then we take the running shoes off and enjoy festivals, biking, hiking, eating out and many other activities. We hope you can come join us!

Carytown / Museum District Run - 3, 4, 5 mile options

10 N Nansemond St

There will be a 5-mile route for those looking for a little more challenge. We will also have a 4-mile route with an easy cut back to the finish for those that want to stick to 3 miles. All Runners are Welcome!

Fall is here and it gets dark early, so please wear lights/reflective gear to make you visible to cars, cyclists, and other pedestrians. We will change to "Winter Routes" in a week or 2.

Runs will start within 5 minutes of posted time, so please arrive early to allow time for parking and to stretch!

1) From Nansemond/Ellwood
2) East on Ellwood
3) Right on S. Sheppard
4) Cross Downtown Expressway
5) After baseball & tennis follow sidewalk to left
6) cross Boulevard, then 1st Right on Strollers Ln.
7) Bear Right at end and follow to Swan Lake
8) Counter-clockwise loop on sidewalk around Swan Lake
9) Left on Lakeview at north end of lake
10) Right on S. Robinson at Fountain Lake
11) Cross Downtown Expressway (Leave 5 mile runners)
12) Left on W. Main St. (Ellwood) to finish

4 Miles

Church Hill Run - 5 Mile Route, PLUS 4 and 3 mile options!!

Welcome! We begin and end our runs at the Libby Hill monument. All runs start at 6:00, please be on time. Please wear reflective and lighted safety gear. No SAGs, so please carry your own hydration/nutrition as needed. We will usually have some extra route sheets, but please bring your own copy of the route, if you can. The regulars in this group run between 7 and 10 minute miles. New comers welcomed.
