What we're about

*PLEASE NOTE AT THE MOMENT THIS GROUP IS ONLY ACCEPTING LOCAL MEMBERS*
I'm starting a friendship circle for those living in Rahway and surrounding towns. I find there isn't much locally on meetup even though there is so much going on in our area.
I will be planning meetings mainly on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. Dinner, drinks, trivia, happy hour, ucpac shows, game nights, open mic, brewery visit, live music, etc. Rahway, Clark, Westfield, Cranford, Linden, Roselle.

Classic Film Series: FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF

The Union County Performing Arts Center

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, the quintessential 80s teen film written, directed, and co-produced by the incomparable John Hughes, will be shown as part of the UCPAC’s Classic Film Series on 35 mm film! Originating countless pop culture references (“Bueller… Bueller…”), this 1986 classic stars Matthew Broderick as Ferris Bueller, a fourth wall-breaking high school senior determined to skip school for a day of fun in Chicago. Faking ill is only phase one; phase two is commandeering his legitimately sick friend Cameron’s (played by Alan Ruck) father’s car, and phase three is breaking his girlfriend Sloane (played by Mia Sara) out of school with an elaborate lie. Both Ferris’ principle and sister suspect him, going out of their way to try to catch him in the act. Will Ferris be able to keep up the ruse and finish off his mini vacation without a hitch? http://www.ucpac.org/event/7b1d7262713529804b177711ee4e804d

Classic Film Series: NATIONAL LAMPOON'S VACATION June 28th, 2019

The Union County Performing Arts Center

Prepare for the trip of a lifetime with the Griswold family when National Lampoon's Vacation (1983) plays on 35 mm film on the Main Stage! Clark Griswold (played by Chevy Chase), his wife Ellen (Beverly D'Angelo), and his two children Russell and Audrey (Anthony Michael Hall and Dana Barron) are taking a family trip from Illinois to California to visit Walley World. But they aren't going by plane; where's the bonding experience in that?! Packing the days long journey by station wagon with stops to Ellen's eccentric relatives, who force them to take an extra, obnoxious passenger, and numerous American landmarks where they are either cheated out of money or have their car vandalized, Clark still manages to stay chipper. That is, until the ill-fated day when they actually arrive at Walley World... An organist will play the UCPAC's historic "Biggest Little Wurlitzer" from 7:15-8 PM as a pre-show bonus! Ticket includes this as well as a free popcorn. http://www.ucpac.org/event/45c479afb71c59b0a3f4cdb765d186ad
