Title of Talk:
Zero to Observability with Apache Kafka®
Abstract:
We'll talk about how to go from a completely unmonitored Apache Kafka deployment to one that you can feel proud to have deployed. Focus will be on the four pillars of Observability (monitoring, alerting, logging, tracing) and how these things matter as you scale up. We'll have some stories for you but come and share your own stories as well!
Bio:
Dustin has spent over 4 years working helping customers wrangle their data and infrastructure using a variety of open source technologies ranging from Hadoop to Kafka. Most recently, he has worked on helping customers stabilize and scale their deployments of Apache Kafka at Confluent. He writes at https://cnfl.io/blog-dustin-cote.
