What we’re about

ISSA is a not-for-profit, international professional organization of information security professionals and practitioners. Think of it as the Chamber of Commerce but for IT with a focus on Security. We hold monthly meetings where we learn about topics within the industry, CISSP holders gain CEU's toward recertification. We offer career services, classes, discounts on industry related items, such as education. Our goal is to promote and grow security. If you are interested in conversing with people who understand technology, advance your future career or just learn something new, this is the place for you.

Who should join: People Involved in Technology, Security, Managers, Students, People interested in learning about InfoSec or any aspect of computer security

What can members expect out of the group: Our normal activities are a monthly meeting consisting of classes, career services, networking and great food, beer and wine.  Our members express desires to learn and participate in various activities; we try our best to accommodate these requests.   We are always accepting ideas for new events.  Email membership@ralieghISSA.org with any suggestions

Is there an age limit since we serve beer and wine at our meetings: No, we encourage people of all ages to attend.  If you plan on drinking a glass or two, bring a valid form of ID to verify you are over 21.

Are there Volunteer Opportunities? We offer volunteer opportunities both within our organization and groups we partner with such as; Kramden.org and Tween and Teens Technology Camp.
