Raspberry Pi: A First Taste - RHPL Tech. Fair

Details

I shall be exhibiting my Raspberry Pi as part of the Richmond Hill Public Library (http://www.rhpl.richmondhill.on.ca/) (RHPL) Technology Fair on Saturday, September 15, 2012. The working title and blurb for my exhibit is:

Raspberry Pi: A First Taste

The Raspberry Pi is a thirty-five dollar computer conceived and brought to fruition by the Raspberry Pi Foundation of Cambridge, England with a view to re-exposing young people to the basics of computing. Since its release in February it has generated huge excitement: demand has far outstripped supply. See for yourself what this inexpensive and fascinating device is capable of, and what some owners have done, or plan to do with theirs. John Martin is a volunteer with the McConaghy Seniors’ Centre Computer Club, a Raspberry Pi owner, advocate, and member of the Raspberry Pi community.

Exhibits are open 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. I would love to have some company to man the booth and discuss the Raspberrry Pi with fellow tinkerers. I'd be especially pleased if fellow Raspberry Pi owners would bring in their devices!

If you find yourself in the area, please drop by. It would be great to have some support from the GTA Raspberry Pi community.
