React can seem daunting for beginners, especially if you've never before heard of components or life-cycle methods. Past that point, there is still more complexity, such as state management and conditional rendering. While tutorials are good for exposure, the best way to learn is to build your own projects, no matter how small they may be. Josh will demonstrate his Quick Draw app, a reflex timing game styled as an old Western shootout. He'll then review his process, from documentation to deployment and beyond.
