In this autumn meetup edition we have two speakers who are deeply involved in the open source community. Eloy Duran is going to talk about using native packages with React Native and the updates they've been working by auto linking it and Elliot Hesp is sharing how to use Firebase in your React Native project.
🍕This event is sponsored by GitNation (https://gitnation.org), an open source oriented foundation running tech events including, amongst others, React Amsterdam and JSNation, and Vandebron (https://vandebron.nl/). Vandebron is a technology-driven scale-up on a mission to transform the energy market with 100% green & local energy.

Adding more native to your React Native app; a talk on (auto) linking and how it helps you.
By @alloy (Eloy Durán), Artsy.net
There’s a wealth of native libraries available for both iOS and Android that one can tap into to enrich your app or sometimes even be the only option. While React Native wrappers exist, sometimes even those can be hard to include in your project without an understanding of the underlying machinery. In this presentation we’ll dive into what ‘linking’ means, how it works with React Native, and how auto-linking improves the past solutions.
