Here are some do’s, don’ts, and a method that actually works... 2) Advanced Native Animations: How to optimise render calls and callbacks, Konrad W. (MagicWorks) ROXi runs on our custom build of Android and our own developed hardware – and the application is built using React Native. The topic covers technical challenges we faced optimising our animations, reducing animation latency and speeding up the time to render when attaching native animations. 3) Cross-platform: From custom hardware to Android TV and Beyond, Vali N. (MagicWorks) ROXi application is built to work on all platforms with the same codebase, and therefore requires our React Native app to support touch displays, pointing devices (HID) as well as TV remotes. The topic covers a general overview of how we achieved this and our plans to take it to more platforms. If you'd like to be a speaker next month, please submit your talk here -> https://reactnative.typeform.com/to/IyEjzz ___________________ 🍷 The sponsor – Magic Works (https://magic.works) Magic Works are the creators of ROXi, a music entertainment console that plugs into your TV, allowing you to stream over 35 million tracks of music, do karaoke, play music games, and more. ROXi runs on our build of Android, on custom-developed hardware – and the application is built using React Native. We’re quite proud of where we’ve got to, though had a few challenges along the way and had to do one or two things that surprised us to get the experience we need to deliver. We’d love to show you some of the things we’ve done, and look forward to a good debate on how we can take things to the next level. ___________________ 🎥Video Recording Sponsored by Pusher: You can view previous event talks and more by visiting the Pusher App YouTube channel!
