Come along to hear some amazing talks about React, JS, and the current state of the ecosystem from your peers in the community, then relax with some drinks (alcoholic + non-alcoholic) and pizza (incl. vegetarian) while having a yarn ( <- JS related pun ๐) with other Sydney-siders also interested in React!
----
Talks
Going on a diet with Preact
"Get your apps summer-ready with Preact, 3kB alternative to React with the same ES6 API"
- Ross Dyson
Typed React and the creation of custom PropTypes
"When the current PropTypes don't suit all your need create your own. This talk will go through some use cases for when you may need custom PropTypes, the creation as well as how to test and the pain point we have found using them in production."
- Ned Pike
Beautiful drag and drop for the people
"Introducing a new library for physics based drag and drop that is highly performant and keyboard first."
- Alex Reardon
----
We're always on the lookout for presenters for future meetups, any length talk is great (10 minutes through to 60 minutes if you want!). We're interested in first time speakers (if you haven't given a talk before, now is your chance) and old-hats alike!
We're trying something different and using GitHub Issues (https://github.com/reactsydney/talks/blob/master/README.md) for talk submissions. This way people can ask questions, give feedback and +1 their favourites, all out in the open.
Submit your talk now! (https://github.com/reactsydney/talks/issues/new?body=Talk%20Date%0A%0A%0ATalk%20Title%0A%0A%0ALength%0A%0A%0A**Twitter-sized%20Overview%20(140%20characters)%0A%0A%0ADetailed%20Overview**%0A)
