(Moved to May) Styled Components; Internal bootcamp at Vrbo

React brought HTML and Javascript together into a component model. CSS-in-JS adds CSS to the React component model, allowing full use of CSS in a convenient manner.

Joe McIntyre will show how to use Styled Components to include CSS in your components, extend components with additional styles, and build component libraries with theming.

Kristen Fyffe will give an opening talk, exploring Vrbo's internal software development bootcamp. This program, now having graduated two classes of developers, was begun last year in an effort to transition non-technical employees to technical roles. Come hear from one of the bootcampers herself as she talks about the process and where she is today.
