Intro to Modern React: Managing State with Hooks & Context

Details
We're back and the Headway development team will be hosting!
There are many different ways to manage state in a React app, and the abundance of choices can be overwhelming for beginners and experienced developers alike. Since React was open-sourced in 2015, there have been multiple waves of state-management trends (feel free to visit the React State Museum > https://github.com/GantMan/ReactStateMuseum if you're feeling nostalgic), and because of the speed of the JS ecosystem, it can feel like there's a new popular library out every month.
Luckily it is now 2019, and everything we need to manage our state is once again available to us inside of React!
In this talk, Nico, a developer at Headway, will be going over using Hooks and the Context API to build a state management tool from scratch that does everything your favorite library can.
No prior knowledge is needed for this event, but those who have used React in any capacity will get the most out of it. We plan to start from the basics and dive into deeper concepts as we go along.
Can't join us in person? You can still watch and ask questions remotely!
