Lab: Deploying a virtual dev environment with AWS LightSail

Details

***This will be a virtual meetup. We will be video conferencing using Zoom, please make sure you have signed up for Zoom, as this is now a requirement to join Zoom meetings.

Not everyone can afford a shiny new MacBook, and provisioning a VM on your personal machine can be a drag. So instead, we will set up a virtual development environment using AWS Lightsail. This will allow us to offload all the work to an AWS EC2 instance, freeing up precious resources on our personal computers.

We will be using AWS LightSail: https://aws.amazon.com/lightsail - if you plan on following along during the lab, please sign up for a lightsail account in advance.
