We will be at the Text-Em-All office in Frisco, TX. There will be pizza and non-alcoholic drinks. Wear a mask if you feel more comfortable that way!
--------------------------
If you want to learn some basics about React or need a refresher, this talk is for you. We will cover several basic concepts using the Create React App project. Bring a laptop and questions. This session will be interactive so interrupt with questions/concerns/deep thoughts — we hope to finish the evening with a better understanding of how React works in general.
Mike works as a senior engineer at Text-Em-All by day and co-runs Presto Assistant by night. He's been using React daily since late 2015, most of the time alongside the team that created Material-UI. In early 2016 he started the ReactJS Dallas meetup and continues to help organize events. He enjoys spending time with his spouse and three children and also building nice user experiences for the world.
--------------------------
Our team at Text-Em-All created the popular open-source library MUI (http://www.mui.com), and we use React every day.
Bring your laptop with your favorite text editor, dig into the React docs (http://facebook.github.io/react/) to get started learning, and come ready with questions that we can tackle together.
