We visit the new Call-Em-All offices for the first time!

6:15 - 6:30pm: Food/Drinks/Hang
6:30 - 6:45pm: "Jobs Open Mic"
6:45 - 7:00pm: Jobs follow-up
7:00pm: Call-Em-All intro
7:05 - 7:30pm: Mike Mathew - "React 102" workshop
7:30 - 8:00pm: Salvador Aceves - "Practical testing and deployment"
8:00-9:00pm: Hack night!

Parking: Our office is on the backside of the building, away from Parkwood. There is plenty of parking. Enter through the doors on the right side as you walk up.

You have a React app sitting there. You understand props and state. What's next? Mike will help you learn more about all of those lifecycle methods, using some basic hooks, making API calls, and managing state. This will be interactive, so questions are encouraged!

Mike Mathew is a career-switcher who used to teach drum line and now helps the world have better internet websites. His day job is working as a front end developer at Call-Em-All in Frisco. By night Mike is playing with his children, learning more about front end lore, or building the Presto Assistant app to help fine arts teachers. He helps organize the ReactJS Dallas meetup where he enjoys connecting the Dallas community together over Code, Pizza, and Pedantic Buzz Words.

Salvador has been a software developer since the dBase era, Web dev since the CGI / XMLHttpRequest era; walking the walk beats talking the talk. His interests range from programming to music, also into OneWheel floating, DevOps, and innovation.
