8:30pm: Close of event

Everyone has heard of hooks: useState, useMemo, useReducer. But what about fishing up your own? This workshop will help you tackle writing and testing custom hooks to make your development life easier, from styling components to debugging them.

Mackenzie enjoys long walks to the coffee machine, unicorns, and writing Discord bots to terrorize her friends.

Yichao shares ideas to spot react app bottle necks and speed them up with simple steps through a real example.

Yichao is a software engineer @Match, enjoy b̶r̶e̶a̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ fixing stuff and play video games.

Getting into Match

Park in the outdoor lot next to the building. Enter through the main glass doors. The doors will likely be locked but there is a security guard on duty (just for us) that will be opening the doors for people and escorting them to the 14th floor.

Once on the 14th floor there’ll be a sign to direct everyone to the grand lounge.

If you enjoy our events, then please consider supporting the meetup!
