What we're about

I am a filmmaker and avid reader. Are most books better that the movie they're based on? Not always. The format is to read a book chosen by consensus during the month, and then watch the film, and discuss. We previously discussed an organizational meeting. This is no longer needed because we've found a very exciting permanent venue and time. We will meet at Scarecrow Video in the University District (5030 Roosevelt Way NE, 98105.) on the last Thursday of each month at 6:00. The film will be shown promptly at 6:15. The store closes at 9:00, so we may have to adjourn to a local coffee shop or bar if we haven't finished our after-film discussion. The group will be announced here as well on Scarecrow's (https://www.scarecrow.com/index.html) publicity. It is free and open to the public. At this time we will not be limiting the size of the group.

The purpose of the group is to discuss books and related movies, so please don't come to watch the movie if you haven't read the book.
